Volunteers are involved with every aspect of our day-to-day operation and PCHS could not function without them. We can always use more help at our facility -- one day a week is all we ask, and we will work around your schedule.

Most of our volunteers take a few hours of an afternoon shift to clean out dog kennels or the cat area. Volunteers also take each dog outside for some much-needed play time away from their kennels.

We are located right next to the DuQuoin Fairgrounds, and many of our volunteers love to take our dogs out for a stroll or run. Our energetic dogs love the exercise and attention!
